Benjamin Button Changed Pitt's Life
1 February 2009 11:20 PM, PST

Brad Pitt has credited his movie The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button with changing the way he looks at his life, insisting he now cherishes every day he's alive. The actor is nominated for a Best Actor prize at this year's Academy Awards for his portrayal of a man who ages backwards after being born with the physical limitations of a man in his eighties.

And aside from the prestigious Oscar nomination, the star has another reason to be grateful for the role - it forced him to confront his own mortality and ultimately changed his outlook on life.

He explains, "I walked away realising that time is short. I don't know if I have a day or 10 days or 10 years or 40 years. Am I halfway or am I close to the end?

"I don't know, so I have to make sure I don't waste those moments in any kind of pettiness or bitterness or laziness, and that I surround myself with the people who are most important to me."

----------------------------------------------------------

How bizarre. It took making this movie for him to realize this? I always thought Brad had more wisdom from his past interviews. Weird that he seems so clueless about life.

It is nice to hear that he has found his inner peace with the people he surrounds himself with. It has worked out nicely for him and Jolie. I think the manner that their love for one another grew caught them off guard.Too bad they have such a dark shadow with the manner they hooked up hanging over their heads. I think if they got married and declared their love for one another with the sacrament of marriage, the public would forget the trashy way they hooked up.

Everyone says these two will eventually get married, I wonder what they are waiting for. They have both made it clear they are dedicated to one another and place each others needs first, so why are they so stubborn about marriage? Brad always seemed like a man that believed in what marriage stood for, interesting that Jolie has changed him so much it wouldn't matter to him. Seems he would do it for the well being of his family, the children. Hopefully if they attempt to adopt again, the place they are adopting from will insist upon a marriage before they settle to live together with another child without marriage. They make it a rule for everyone else, why not these two??
