Brad Pitt left his father horrified on the set of The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button - because his make-up transformation into an 80-year-old was so realistic. The Hollywood star portrays a character who ages backwards after being born with the physical limitations of an old man in the film.

And the prosthetic ageing Pitt went through for the role was so life-like it scared his elderly father William.

A source tells Britain's Daily Express, "Bill was stunned to see Brad looking older than he is. It seemed he was actually a bit perturbed.

"He said it was eerie. He looked pleased though when the director explained that the make-up process took five hours every day and that Brad sat there patiently never complaining.

"He (Bill) replied, 'That's how he was brought up: you get through it and you don't complain."
