Brad isn't only more popular, he is well respected by the people that she so longs to be noticed by. Everywhere in the world!!
That is why she calls him her lucky charm. He gives her a chance at being known as a lady rather than a lady tramp that slithers across the red carpet hanging on Billy Bob or making out with her brother in public or snarling at he camera like she is ready for her next tatooing. Getting with Brad allowed her to bury her demons, for now. People give her a second glantz since she is on Brad's arm because they know Brad is a good guy.
If he noticed her for her humanitarian efforts, maybe it would help others notice her for it. What speaks volumes to me is she NEEDS people to take notice. She needs that attention always, no matter if it is dark attention from her past, or in the now, how she will be the female warrrier to save the world,*eyeroll* Or the worlds greatest mother because she has children from all over the world calling her mommy. I would be so much more impressed with her if she didn't have so much to prove. But, she got Brad to notice her, so she gets what she wants. Attention.
I don't know if she is award worthy for this part in TMH or not. But one thing is for certain, she really, really needs the attention for it. So, let her have it.
This movie is more about Angelina Jolie than it is about The Pearl's.That is a sad shame for all the people who were close to Daniel when he lived. I hardly doubt Daniel Pearl wants Angelina Jolie to be his legacy in life. But, when she sold her story to Hollywood, that is exactly what she got.
I question if Daniel would of been keen on the idea of being remembered through the eyes of Hollywood. Probably wouldn't have been his easiest journey but, I hope when it is all said and done, he can find a place to rest in peace.
At this time of year I love the song Silent Night."Sleep in Heavenly Peace." Those words have such impact for those who have passed. Only when their loved ones live in peace can those who have passed find their Heavenly Peace. I hope all those who knew Daniel will remember him for the spirited soul he was, rather than the man who had his life taken by terrorists.They win if that is how he is remembered.
Terry, Brad is much more well known and well liked here in the states too. Please don't make that just an Europe compliment. Brad is beloved here in the states. Look what he did for Jolie's dark image. Only Brad could pull that off. He managed to overcome all the darkness that surrounded her and transform her into what the public sees today. The person she needs so badly to be known for. A humanitarian and a mother. He gave that to her so it is funny to me when people say that she shines brightly onto him. I have to say "Hardly!" But they all get delusions of grandeur at one point or another.
