Hey, buddy,
So you saw it after all, ha? Glad you liked it. I saw it over the weekend also. It didnt get very good reviews at all, which surprised me since its the Coen brothers, i guess after their last Oscar winning movie, the critics expected some sort of crazy masterpiece or something. This movie is funny but of course it's no masterpiece. For the most part i liked it but some parts were a tad too quirky for me. For example, i did not, for the life of me, get the part about Clooney's character making that chair with the dildo in it, i mean what in the world was THAT all about?! Just to prove how much of a sexaholic he is? Who did he even make it for, himself?? LOL Totally didnt get that one. When that scene came up, i chuckled but more out of surprise than anything else... perhaps that's just not my brand of humor altogether.

Brad's character had some funny lines (my favorite: "We are calling about... the security... of... your SHIT", and where he talks about "taking care of your sensitive shit" that got a huge laugh in the audience also) but for the most part his comedy came from him doing silly dances and from that Johnny Suede-esque hairdo. No spoilers but my bf totally predicted the fate of his character without even seeing the movie (hmmm, is that a good thing or a bad thing?)

Overall, good fun and all but not a favorite. I am way more excited about Curious Case of Benjamin Button!

Myst

P.S Just out of curiousity, Gina, what changed your mind about going to see this movie? I remember you were pretty adamant about not seeing it in the theaters and waiting for it to come out on DVD... just wondering.
