I like the combination of classical Christmas songs and gospels like Take my hand, precious lord on Elvis' CD.
Have you ever heard a sexier version of White Christmas?

We heard that Elvis loved Christmas very much. Priscilla told in that documentary Elvis by the Presleys how much he loved Christmas and making gifts to his loved ones. I think you can hear that when you listen to the songs. You should check them out in its entirety soon.
Another great song is Mama liked the roses.

Do you also listen to Last Christmas in the USA? Here in Europe it is by far the most popular Christmas pop song. They already play it nonstop again. George Michael was so young when he sang it.

Gina, do you know the song Wonderful dream by Melanie Thornton? She was a singer from the US and was very successful here in Europe. Her Christmas song Wonderful dream was the last song she released very shortly before she died in a terrible emergency landing in Switzerland. She couldn't live to see the tremendous success of her song. People now say that it is the saddest Christmas song. They couldn't make a video with her but in the video they put scenes from former videos together and they show excerpts from her on the stage performing that song. The most weird thing is that she died only a few hours after this stage-performance that is included in the video, where she is wearing that winter-fur-hat. I remember the day after her death when they suddenly showed an interview on tv that was only made after that performance and shortly before she boarded the plane. She said that she is looking forward to Christmas because she loves it so much (she had a little child) and she said she enjoys every moment because her life could be over any minute. Isn't that weird? I mean her life was really over only a few hours after she said that. After that interview she boarded the plane to Switzerland in which she had to die. Hard to believe that already happened six years ago. At the end of the video they freeze her picture into black and white and say in loving memory with her dates of birth and death included.

She would have turned 40 this year.
And whenever we hear that song on the radio everyone has to think of that. She will always be remembered for this song but also for the way she died during Christmas time.
Just like Last Christmas they play it constantly on the radio.

Here is the video to that song. I am sure you will like it. She had an awesome voice. This song makes you happy and sad at the same time.
