I have to comment on this.

Controversial Pastor
The show's Elisabeth Hasselbeck also asks about controversial remarks delivered by Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's pastor of 20 years, who railed in a sermon that America is responsible for the 9/11 attacks.

"It was a snippet of a man," Obama replies. "I think he's saddened by what's happened, and I told him I feel badly that he has been characterized just in this one way – and people haven't seen this broader aspect of him."

------------------------------------------------------------

I understand Obama's comment that this is a snippet of the man. But, maybe this is what the Reverend needs to see within himself. What others think of him only matters because they have connected his words to Obama. Maybe the lesson in all of this is for the Reverend to see the error of his ways in his teachings and rise above his hate in God's name. Surely this is not the manner that he wants his legacy to be left. I believe he is fortunate to have it exposed, hopefully he will see it and change it before his time expires. Seems to me, the Reverend has been given a second chance. And people say we don't have a loving God. He should embrace that and preach it to his people.

It is unfortunate that Obama has been tied into this. I know people who wouldn't give him a second glantz because of it. But, I see something completely different, I see a man that is attempting to stay loyal to his Pastor and continue to bring his dream of hope for ALL people. Sad as it is, with the Rev. words, it doesn't appear that way.

More interesting to e that Hillary addressed it tonight in her chat session here, saying that she wouldn't attend a church or sit there where such racist comments were made. *eyebrow* She had to get that one little dig in about him, but mostly, she spent her hour bashing President Bush.
