Come on now LBF, sure they want to know about her personal life over any movie she promotes. The manner that she exploits her private life to the press, of course it will over shadow any work she does. Same goes when she was promoting The Mighty Heart, it was all about Jolie when it should of been about the character she played. She feeds off that and it is comical to me because it confirms she can't act. And please spare me from saying that she doesn't use her private life when they pimp photo's of their children to the highest bidder.Of course with Brad being her life partner they will be more interested in their private life over any movie they make. And it appears to me, at Cannes, she uses it to her full advantage. Just like the Oscar snub, suddenly, she is going to have all the attention whether she got the award or not.She wanted to over shadow the whole event with her private life because she was over looked. It is always about her, and what she needs. That is transparent to me, but, if you don't see it, we obviously stand on different sides of the room. No biggy, that is what makes the world go round.
Only difference is, Brad CAN act an is an amazing talent. Once again, he gets dragged down by the actress he is attached to using him to promote her work.I am not even saying these two are the only ones who do it, but, she sure seem to thrieve on it to get by in her acting career.
I wonder, Cate Blanchett seems to get away with the media respecting her privacy and staying focused on her work. I know, she is on a whole different league of talent because she can act. But, is that because she doesn't exploit her private life to the media and the public?
I suppose for me, the thing that is most troublesome is, after reading different blogs around the net, that most people believe Brad promotes such drama in his private life because he can't act either. We know that isn't true. It is too bad he gets with these Hollywood woman who would of been over a long time ago, if they hadn't attached themselves to Brad's fame. And yeah, that includes Jolie. Before Brad she couldn't get attention for her craft unless she did something shocking to gain attention for herself, like making it known she and Billy Bob had sex in the limo, or nudity, or wearing blood around her neck, or her feud with her father. And please spare me she is an Oscar winning actress, playing herself doesn't count. If she is a good actress anywhere in her life, it is in her private life and the manner that she presents herself to the public. It is her MO and far as I can tell, she has no problem using her children and Brad to gain the attention she is so lacking in her craft.
In the end, it makes me feel bad for Brad when I read other forums. Because most people don't know or could careless about about his work. That is the reality of the situation no matter if you choose to see it or not. I believe he is a talented actor that deserves more than to be placed on the same tabloid level as Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. But, he doesn't seem to mind that he is more a personality, rather than a talented actor. As much as I enjoyed Brad in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, it wasn't his best work and it is a sad shame because that it is the ONLY movie he is acknowledged for because it made Brangelina. *eyeroll*
But, it is his career, his legacy, if he wants fatherhood to be the main focus, he has achieved that. His private life consumes him so maybe it is only right that he revolves everything around it. Including his press. Funniest part is, I have a brother who behaved the same way as Brad behaves. His children were his whole world and I saw how devistated he was when he was cut out of it.No matter how amazing he was as a parent when they were little. If I hadn't witnessed it with my own eyes, i would say nothing, but, honestly, with the manner that Jolie discared her own father, you better believe that Brad could suffer the same fate and I would just HATE to see him hurt in that manner because I saw what it did to my own brother.Right or wrong, that is what my gut says and I never ignore my gut. And, I care enough about Brad to speak up. Period!
