The Jolie-Pitts Settle Down, and How!

Expectant parents Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have plunked down a cool $60 million on a sprawling 1,000-acre estate in the south of France. With 35 bedrooms, plus a vineyard, lake, forest and moat, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and the soon-to-be-born twins are going to be playing house in high style.
"It's called Chateau Miraval in a village called Brignol, which is near from Aix-en-Provence," a source tells E! News. "And it's absolutely unbelievable.
"Brad and Angelina are thrilled, they love the place and have already been furniture shopping to fill the place as it's massive," the insider added. "They've already spent almost another million on furniture and the whole family can't wait to move in."
But where to begin?
The pre-Roman estate also boasts a swimming pool, billiards room, indoor pool, his-and-hers gyms, sauna and jacuzzi and a huge banquet hall.
Magnificent cascading stone-walled terraces have been replanted with 13 different varieties of olives, and water is everywhere on the sprawling estate—20 fountains, aqueducts and a stream that runs through hidden tunnels, passes through the moat and fills the lake.
Except for the ponies and goats grazing in the nearby fields, "the house is surrounded by a forest so they'll have total privacy, which is exactly what they're after," the source tells E! "No one will ever be able to get pictures of them relaxing at home, it's just impossible."
The Jolie-Pitts hope to be completely moved in within the next three months, if not sooner. For the past year, Brad and Angelina had been house-hunting in the area, where residents include Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis and U2 frontman Bono.
Since arriving in France at the end of April, Pitt, Jolie and the kids have been shacking up at Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen's villa in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Jolie befriended the tech titan while filming Dreamworks' Shark Tale in 2004.

Can't even imagine spending that much money on a house. And then have to furnish it. I have to admit, leaves a bad taste in my mouth with the manner that so many suffer in this world that these two spend money like this. But, maybe they plan to fill up the 35 bedrooms with orphans from around the world. I don't suppose this means they will stop working anytime soon to pay for the perks that come with owning such a home. And it has a vineyard? Makes me chuckle, having young adults in my house, they would have massive parties there. LOL When my kids turned 15 I took all of the liquor in the house and poured it down the drain. Trust me, if it is there, they will find it.Now with having a 18 and 20 year old, they find a way to get their own.As long as they are home and not out driving around, like I did when I was that age, I cut them some slack about it. My daughter graduated from high school last weekend so now, it has been like a contant party at my house. We have a group of young adults at my house on a regular basis. I love observing them celebrate life as they are all good kids who enjoy one anothers company and to laugh and enjoy their independance.
The other night I came home from working late and there were cars parked all the way down my driveway. They were hanging on the deck and as I approached, I saw they had raided the fridge and had all my T bone steaks for the holiday weekend. I about died because I knew, my hubby would have a baby cow because we can't afford to feed all the kids steaks. I shot a look off to my daughter and she knew. Worse yet, when Hector returned home from wherever he was, he about exploited and said he was going to take the steaks away from them. I had to laugh, it is kinda late for that now as they had started eating.We have never fought so much now that we have young adults. He is the lion that wants them to pay their own way, but, I am the protective tiger that says my babies can be dependent on me as long as they want. *giggle*
Anyway, back on topic, it is nice Brangelina can afford such a home. I would be worried about their well being surrounded by a moat, but, if they have a tribe of nannies, I suppose it is their job to make sure the children don't drown.I think they will stay at this home if it is so private so maybe they can disaapear for a good long time with their growing family. Brangelina moved to France and lived happy ever after never to be heard from again. Hopefully they canfind the freedom of living in a fishbowl and live the rest of their lives in peace.
