I'd like to encourage more discussion on ALL topics of a national concern, and the drug issue is a very important one. All issues of such stature need to be fully engaged. No one issue can be said to be more important than any other.

Please give proper consideration to each and every issue as if it was the ONLY issue. That is the only way new solutions can emerge. Perhaps it is time to make a major change in the way drug addicts are dealt with. Surely the present methods are not working. Just look at the recidivism (re-offense) rate for drug related convictions.
