Just because your guys are not getting cut, doesnt eliminate the risk. I tend to think in terms of what is best for all fighters, instead of what is just best for my guys. Fighting in Va, is certainly best for my guys regarding finances, rules, and refs seem alot more competent there. We have only had 4 fights with their unified rules, and we won them all, they were all in one night. But, one kid who fought one of my guys got his ass beaten to a pulp with the elbows, granted having fought myself, and running a gym I know everyone takes it upon themselves when they decide to compete.....but I still felt a bit sorry for the kid, he had no idea what he was getting into.

Doesnt change the fact I want to see amatuer fighters not take undue risks to be able to compete, esp if its for free. More folks need to think in terms of what is best for the sport rather than what is best for themselves/teams.

That said I can see where trying to make sense to the boxing authority could wear anyone down. Hell I am done trying.
