Even with only 2 pro fights, that strong a wrestling background would definitely get you a look. How is your BJJ. I ask that one because now a days there are alot of guys who were D-1 starters who are Brown and black belts, but not so many that good in the IFL.

Not knowing anything else, I would think the strong wrestling is what alot of the coaches for the IFL look at the most, mainly because alot of the things that are bad in wrestling are easy to lose in a good camp and alot of the things that are good are hard to teach (in a short time sense).

Also as a side note, I would consider a top D-1 prospect Someone who was heavily recruited by Iowa, Minnesota, or some of the other top 10 schools, Which Nebraska is a year in and year out top 20 school.

There is a guy In NC who is on an IFL team. Tim Kennedy ( who is also in the military). He is definitely not the IFL average (the guy is UFC main card material easy), but if you could train with him or some of the guys he trains with (like Greg Thompson) I think that could go a long ways towards getting you on an IFL team, both those guys are very, very good at what they do.

once again thanks for the info, I have no belt in BJJ, the place I train doesnt teach it, I teach the only ground fighting skills, like I said mostly a mix of sambo, wrestling, catch wrestling. I dont want to sound cocky but I have competed around the country and usually came out on top, I am very confident in my ground game. Do you teach anywhere? It is hard for me to find good competition around here or training in different styles, Im not knocking on my gym its great, my coach is great, its just our resources are limited, if you have ever been to haywood county you know what I mean. Any suggestions???? Again advice would be appreciated.
