There is a guy in Nashville, Tenn or near there who is pretty good BJJ/MMa guy and puts on fights in Tennesee. I cant remember his name at the moment, but he might be closer to you.

If it makes you feel better when I started fighting in '98 I would drive to Va Beach to train, 3 hours + each way. But they had a much more energized BJJ/MMA community back then. Not so much anymore.

Also I think there are some decent BJJ guys in hendersonville? Lots of places around Charlotte and Hickory as well. You are more than welcome to come train with us, but I dont know how much energy anyone would have after a 4 hour drive.

I am sure you have thought about this as well, but should you not jump right into IFL contention and want to still compete in MMA, you may want to move. Decent trim carpenters and framers do quite well in The triangle (construction is EXPLODING) and if you are serious about competing long term you are going to want people who push you at every aspect of the game around you. I dont know if you can get that where you are now. I know you can in and around Raleigh.
