Season One I liked the training footage and the fights
Hated the Challenges and the "reality" Drama.
Finals were Bad overall!!

Season Two--Hated the entire season
Too much drama on all levels.
Finals saved the Season.

Season Three--Starts off pretty good
Tons of fighting and Training
(What a fight show should be about)
Like the drama between Shammy and
Cheat'o Ortiz. (Bad blood is potentially real
Ken seems to oversell a tad bit but thats
the "Wrasslin' in his blood.)

Are you sure you saw the commercial or were you watching gay porn, because Jason and I have starred in a few of them there movies.
Actually that guy Christian Rothamel that is on this season is a buddy of mine.Once he gets in shape,he should be pretty fun to watch,he is a really tough guy with good skill.Sadly he is not nearly as handsome as Ses.

I meant to draw a response from the serious MMA crowd....
not sick puppies who actually kill sick puppies such as yourself......then again you're known for killing the healthy one's also.

Why did Shamrock bring in a body building nutrionalist? Also, Shamrock admited he doesn't know a lot of jiu jitsu but didn't bring anyone in help with that. WTF?

Never been a big Tito fan but it seems that he's going to help his team more than Shamrock. He was hands on and brought in some great people to help out (Dean Lister).

Just to play Devil's Advocate here: Shamrock said he wasn't a Jiu-Jitsu guy... he didn't say he wasn't a grappling guy, or that he wasn't a submission guy. I think it's a mistake to assume that the only source of submission / grappling knowledge is BJJ. Maybe Shamrock thinks he knows enough submission / grappling already?

NOT that I'm saying he does (or doesn't): I'm just saying that maybe he thinks he does, and that's why he didn't bring in a jiu-jitsu specialist...

Shammy, is bustin' at the seams with confidence and I took his comment more to say that there won't be an exclusive Ju
Jitsu method to his teaching.

However, if he wanted to be an overall coach, he should've brought coaches that covered the specialty areas. It seems that he brought in guys that give him moral support.

Match up for match up Shammy's team could possibly have the advantage but that's what makes this season so interesting, Tito will have to dig deep into his bag of tricks to bring out the best in his group.

Nontheless, should be an entertaining season and with any
Luck some awesome fights for the finals.

Jiu Jitsu is certainly not the only source of sub grappling. I would never make that arguement.

Shamrock said that he likes to brawl and he knows leg locks and then made reference to not being a jiu jitsu guy. I thought HE made reference to jiu jitsu being the other source of submissions like arm bars, triangles, etc which he said he wasn't really knowledgeable on. I thought he would of/should of then brought in a coach to supplement the other areas of submission (not exclusively a BJJ guy) that he is not as well versed in.

Maybe he does know enough sub grappling where he doesn't need someone else's help. Time will tell. I do think that Tito has a stronger coaching team though.

I agree, it should be a good season with some good fights.

I agree with the MMA report that Shammy might be living in the past a bit.....however, I think that Shammy is trying to lull people with his "I'm a Legend" attitude. People might take him for granted while he's making strides. What that article forgets is that when Shammy lost to Royce back in 93 he had a draw with him in the second fight....a fight that he prepare for(With Masa Funaki) by training in the gi with the Machado's.

The “draw” I guess you mean # 5 superfight?? Well I think the whole idea for Ken was you keep from being submitted, to get the draw. Ken never pushed the fight, he was scared to pass the guard and advance his position. He jumped up after the “DRAW” with hands raised like he had beat god himself, but the last time, I looked a draw wasn’t a win, and I can’t imagine Royce thinking a draw was a win. I guess back then a draw was a win when you fought a Gracie.

Still liked it when there wasn't no time limits.

Oh by the way “that armbar was deep” comment, with a smile, tonight from Ken was really cute.

I personally was not fond of either of the coaches but Tito is winning me over big time, he seems more genuine and over all concerned for the best for his guys.

We will see if both of them can keep their mouth shut.

Oh by the way my girl friend that know squat about MMA and Jiu-Jitsu, I guess just like me, said she likes Tito better. But she is hooked on this season and I think more and more people form mainstream is watching the show.

I do think this season will be a good one.

And having 3 shows behind and no real drama with the coaches, is surprising.

The point about the Royce/Shammy II was that Ken actually
did some cross training.

The basketball thing last night was a bit stale
but I loved the drama in the octagon with Shammy and his fighters, it shows some of the real tough love relationships that fighter's and trainers go through.

Although, Shamrock and Tito don't have a personal business agreement with the fighters, I wouldn't be surprised if the UFC offered a bounus to the coach who's fighter's perform the best. It's still a TV show and there has to be a level of "Reality TV" that is carried out in this Realistic environment.

I agree with the fighter's understanding the overtraining aspect of MMA, one has to remember that just because boxers train 4 to 6 hours a day, doesn't mean that you have to do the same. Boxer's don't have to interact with a resisting /uncooperative partner for as long as MMA fighters do. Other than sparring, a boxers training partners are just assistants who work the mitts, hold the bag, or assist with fitness techniques. Many of the sparring partners the do have are paid to give in to the boxer. Most MMA fighter's train with guy's who after the samegoal and sometimes ego's flare or they refuse to quit before it's too late.

It's easy to like or dislike each coach for personal reasons. Ken Shamrock screams; Tito makes dinner. You have to coach according to the style that each fighter can recieve best. Because of how Kalib reacted I think that Ken
got to him and will up his game, the other guy was basically quiet, I don't see him give Ken an "A plus" on the Coaches report card.

I think I was wrong, after watching the last two shows.....I want to see some challenges or atleast something that takes away from the drama going on in the house with the tension between fighters. I feel that the challenges should relate some how to MMA and maybe they should be given some type of financial reward for winning the challenges instead of gaining the choice to decide who fights.
