The point about the Royce/Shammy II was that Ken actually
did some cross training.

The basketball thing last night was a bit stale
but I loved the drama in the octagon with Shammy and his fighters, it shows some of the real tough love relationships that fighter's and trainers go through.

Although, Shamrock and Tito don't have a personal business agreement with the fighters, I wouldn't be surprised if the UFC offered a bounus to the coach who's fighter's perform the best. It's still a TV show and there has to be a level of "Reality TV" that is carried out in this Realistic environment.

I agree with the fighter's understanding the overtraining aspect of MMA, one has to remember that just because boxers train 4 to 6 hours a day, doesn't mean that you have to do the same. Boxer's don't have to interact with a resisting /uncooperative partner for as long as MMA fighters do. Other than sparring, a boxers training partners are just assistants who work the mitts, hold the bag, or assist with fitness techniques. Many of the sparring partners the do have are paid to give in to the boxer. Most MMA fighter's train with guy's who after the samegoal and sometimes ego's flare or they refuse to quit before it's too late.

It's easy to like or dislike each coach for personal reasons. Ken Shamrock screams; Tito makes dinner. You have to coach according to the style that each fighter can recieve best. Because of how Kalib reacted I think that Ken
got to him and will up his game, the other guy was basically quiet, I don't see him give Ken an "A plus" on the Coaches report card.

I think I was wrong, after watching the last two shows.....I want to see some challenges or atleast something that takes away from the drama going on in the house with the tension between fighters. I feel that the challenges should relate some how to MMA and maybe they should be given some type of financial reward for winning the challenges instead of gaining the choice to decide who fights.
