Well, I just got back from checking Luis's academy out. It was a great class! he started the class up with a warm up then we did 2 throws. Then 2 attacks after the throws. Then a defense for the bottom guy. Then we worked it as a drill. He shows alot of details and answered every question with a great answer. The throws were done a Tee with a slight variation at the end that I had never seen and it worked even better for me. I'm also a black belt in JUDO. Then the last 4 min. of the class he made us do armbars from the guard 100 of then 50 to the left and 50 to the right. Then it was Roll time. just what I was waiting for. He rolled with every one then when he finally got to me I thought now we'll see. the joke was on me. He just played with me. I've trained with Royce, Relson, Daniel, Gustavo MAchado and I'm a 3 stripe blue belt atleast I thought I was. I felt more like a fresh blue belt. It was sweep after sweep and I tapped again and again but he was just smiling and grinning the whole time and looking around at the other guys rolling while he was with me. Here I was giving it all I had. I was so fustrated. But he would show me what I was doing wrong then get into that position again so I could work it. Then I got to watch him roll with the other Brazilian black belt from the Alliance thats there I beleive his name was Paulino. what a show. Luis just smiles sweeps like it's nothing. For those of you that are talking trash...Get a life. He is legit. technical as hell and to watch him and that other alliance black belt roll was great. In one he looked up at me and said remember that sweep I showed you ... watch... then he would nail it and say see it works!!laughing! Luis is a funny guy, cut'n up in class with everyone. well thanks to this forum I signed up at THE ALLIANCE OF CHARLOTTE!!!!!!!! I'll drive 45 mins to train over there while you guys that don't care for him can stay here typing!!! By the way the answer to your Hodas question is at his academy!! HE is a black belt guys sorry to bust your bubble!!! Guess the jokes on you. well gotta run and get some rest I scheduled a Private with Luis for tomorrow!!!
