Siddhartha questions after the webquest

This project forced me to analyze the story significantly more than I would have. I had previously read the book and could relate to the story a lot better this time around. I liked that there was a reason for everything that happened to Siddhartha in the story and everything made more sense. I was able to tie Siddhartha’s life with mine and therefore was more interested in what had happened in the book.

I found myself rereading a lot of the information in order to get a better understanding of it. There are subtle details that I might not have looked into if I were not doing the web quest.

This exercise allowed me to get all of my thoughts in order and find the meanings in the story. It made me think about my life and what people want in life in general. It stirred my interest in different cultures and religions and how it relates to my religion. I questioned if any one religion or way of life was the correct way and if happiness is the ultimate goal.

The web quest was a good overall project, however, there was too much emphasis put into this one book. I think we spent a little too much time on Siddhartha, rather than on other aspects of literature. I did my essay power-point presentation on Gandhi and was a little tired of analyzing the Indian culture.
