Subject: There's an earie silence over the site...no new information I guess...

Where is everybody going to get their cars now? I've resolved to the fact that I've lost my deposit and am looking at new sources for my car. People will say that I'd be mad to trust another import agency with this amount of money, but its only now that I am wiser to the security of importing that I see there are plenty of agencies out there who ask you to pay your deposit directly to the dealer, and that payment may be made by credit card. However, these companies will ask that you pay them their fee (usually £350-600) directly by a cheque. Some agencies will also offer to show you bank references.
Having now lost the money I would have saved by importing the car in the first place, I'm under even more financial pressure to save money this time around, so I'll be damned if I'm going to a UK dealer.
Still, best wait with fingers crossed until I hear if Automodena's dealer received any of my deposit and whether I can use it to continue the order!!
