No,not on it's own. It could just be something he is "trying out" like some men have tried shaving their legs just to "see & feel" what it's like. Also, it could just be an aesthetic preference. Shaving can make a guy's genitals appear more prominent (larger) or less "wild". It isn't any more demasculizing as shaving ones beard or not except it might be harder for him to comfortably change in the men's locker room. Some men think women might be more inclined to perform oral sex on a well "man-scapped" genitalia so he might be working on presentation. I'm a straight male so I can't really say if that has any merit. Many gay people prefer au natural shaved look and many others prefer the shaved look from what I understand and in and of itself is completely seperate from being gay, just like wearing an earing or not.
