Ok, so maybe I should just shut my mouth until March Madness rolls around lol. GOD ALMIGHTY! This is why it is sooo easy for me to turn heel on the U of T. 3 seconds left in the first half, ball around midfield after OU had somehow turned a Texas INT return for a touchdown into a good thing for them, returning the kickoff 80 yards and scoring a touchdown and converting the 2 point conversion, in effect, adding a point in the transaction. So what does Mack Brown do?? Hail Mary pass into the end zone, right? WRONG. That dip has Sims take a knee! He was playing the #2 team in the nation, did he really think that he just wouldn't need those points? ARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG. If I were the president of the U of T, I would have walked into the locker room during halftime and fired his out-coached in EVERY game ass right then and there.
And back to Chris Sims. I saw his first start, 3 years ago against A&M, and I saw today. He looks exactly the same. I am not talking about his passes so much as how he gets sacked on every single play! I exagerate, but not by much. He has to be the smallest 6 foot 5 guy I have ever seen.
I don't mean to not give the Sooners any credit. I didn't think they had done anything to warrent their high ranking (I thought the same about Texas.. The ONLY think they had done was not lose to a collection of bad teams), but I think the case with OU is that they are boring good. What I mean is that they have a QB who doesn't really throw well or run well, no big play recievers and no running backs who we will be seeing on Sundays any time soon. Quentin Griffin was just awesome, but at the same time, I wonder exactly why Texas couldn't do a single thing to even slow him down. You would think after about 40 of them, the Longhorns would figure out a way to defense that shotgun counter play. Nice job by the OU OLine though.
Thats all. Imagine how worked up I would be if I was a hardcore UT fan lol.
