Well, I think the Rangers TV and radio guys (Eric Nadel, Vince Catronio, Tom Grieve) are good enough to weather Proctor. They don't really go for the big yucks, so maybe he will bring a little something to the mix. Nadel has been here for gosh, 25 years or so, and of course Grieve was the GM here, and a player before that, and in his 7th year behind the mike, means that he has A been with the Texas Rangers since they moved here and B seen more bad baseball than any one human should have to see. Cotronio used to be the 3rd man in the DisAstros booth, but like anyone with any talent in Houston who's name doesn't begin with a B, he got the hell out of there.
I knew Warner was a Hollywood guy, I didn't remember him owning the Padres, but yikes, worse than Sterling? Thats tough to imagine. I just hope he keeps Duquette if that group gets the Sox. Or at least doesn't fire him till after the Rangers hire their new GM.
