Subject: orb in my home

I am just a normal working mom, Not a ghost hunter or anything like that, although i do believe in them. I live in a newer home, we had it built. Its a new subdivision with a cornfield behind our home. One i went to bed and shut my eyes, it couldnt have been more than 5 minutes and i seen a big flash of light, i thought it was a thunderstorm coming, when i opened my eyes i seen the huge orb, it was white and almost perfectly round it was about as wide as my bedroom door, i quickly dispered through the door as if it was being sucked out the door. i havent seen or heard anythin unusual since then, and i really didnt know what it could have been until i went on the web and seen that they are ghosts. I had thought that maybe aliens. I feel better knowing that they are ghosts. do you think it was someone i knew just visiting me? I have never heard of new homes being haunted by ghosts.... Just thought i would share my story.
