I am aware that we have a few disgruntled supporters who feel it's time for manager Jim McBride to go, but as for your comments that seem to imply everyone including most of the club officials feel the same way is pure fantasy (that is unless you can name names?). People will always question a manager's ability when things don't go the way we want - and I would be a hypocrite if I said I was any different.

It's seems obvious from your comments about Town 'only beating the poorer sides' that you've not seen too many games this season. We've taken four points from Mossley, and defeated Prescot at Valerie Park and a great many of our performances against these so-called 'poorer teams' were excellent in the manner of the victory (home and away wins against Abbey Hey - who beat Kidsgrove in mid-week). Yes we've had poor results against what we'd regard as our Championship rivals, but our form last season, when we did very well against the top clubs didn't see us crowned Champions did it!

The issue of Andy Moores didn't get handled well - I'd agree. He was brought in as a direct replacement for the injured Mark Ashton (who'd been as good as any player to the point in the season). Unfortunately our run of games, which included League Cup and Vase (when Mozzer was not eligible) as well as a couple of League game postponements didn't allow him to feature as much as maybe he would have liked - and then of course 'Ashy' returned earlier than expected.

We tend to remember the good games a player has (or the bad) when it suits us. Langley was exceptional early on in the season and then for some unknown reason went to pot! The truth of the matter with him was that he felt he'd a right to play whatever his form - and when he was dropped he left in a sulk! Tommy Baker followed a similar pattern (except the sulk) - excellent to start with, went off the boil, got dropped and then wants away!

'Worst defence and midfield in the top half of the League' - again a little over exaggerated - we've not had a good time of late but our record is bettered only by two clubs!

Finally I presume when you say 'get someone in with fotball experience' you suggest that Jim McBride hasn't got any! Ten years maybe a long time at one club but we've all seen the failures of so-called ex-pros who couldn't hack it in management. Jim's tenure at Town was on less than a shoe string for the first eight season's and we were then grateful for his loyalty and commitment. The last two season's have seen him with a healthy players budget, unfotunately so have five or six other clubs.

It's unfortunate that managers get the stick when it's players who fail to perform.
