The word is that you were only ever intending to have a 4pm inspection (so as to give the game the best chance of going ahead!). The inspecting referee was delayed and eventually arrived at 5pm (not your fault I know). However, it seems obvious from conversations between our two clubs that the game was always in grave doubt - all I'm saying is an early inspection would have been more appropriate. Surely there's not only one referee locally that could have looked at the ground.
