I think that it has been just an unlucky coincidence that has clouded your view. The first reference in the Newcastle programme was a comment made by a Clitheroe supporter on their web site. If its on their web-site then it's in the public domain; most of our supporters to do have access to the web and therefore it was a way of bringing it to their attention. I believe, the Clitheroe fan's comments were fact-based at the time. I don't know whether the same still applies about not being allowed to warm up on the pitch but I do know of Cables' fans who have been offended by over-officious stewards at Knowsley Road.
The comment in last week's programme was a throw away bit of humour, based on Clitheroe's comments, the stewarding comment and complaints from a number of fans that I don't put away day directions in the programme. I am sorry that you found offence in this. (The humour clearly missed the mark and hit The Marksman in this instance)
I think that you will find that due respect is paid to St Helens achievements so far this season in those programmes where there is a review of league and cup performance.
Thanks for responding.
