Cheers for the explanation.

With reference to not warming up on the pitch before games at Knowsley Road. It has been a 'bone of contention' with a couple of clubs this season, but has proved to be an effective way of keeping the playing surface in a good condition prior to kick off. We've all seen pitches that look great when you arrive at a ground - by the time both teams have had twenty minutes, or so, warm up they can look like the Somme. A point proved this week with four games being played at Knowsley Road (Town at home three times - Sat, Wed, Sat and Saints RL on Mon) while all around games have fallen to the weather!

As for over-officious stewarding, unlike most grounds at this level we are covered by a local authority safety certificate and therefore have to adhere to certain rules and regulations. I am aware that on occasions both home and away fans have to be pointed in the right direction with regard to some of these rules, I'm sure knowing the stewards there is never the intention to offend just to do the job.
