Subject: New and I need support!

Hi there from Canada. I've been trying to lose for awhile now, but with not to much results besides feeling better. Perhaps this type of support will help encourage me to try harder.

One question-My husby eats meat basically everyday. I have been as well until now I realized that could be the main factor in a slow weight loss. So I've decided to throw on veggie burgers every time he puts a steak on the grill. Will this help? How much meat should a person eat in a week?
Any advice would be appreciated, and I'll try to help out anybody I can!!THANKYOU SO MUCH!!
Shannon

Try eating leaner meats... such as ground turkey instead of beef.... and baked chicken instead of steak.... most meat that is fatty is the redmeats... like Ham.... beef ... lamb and so forth... Try to eat poultries.....such as turkey and chicken... That way you still get your protien.... and can stick to your diet as well...

hope that helps...

So what's the deal with pork??? Good or bad? I'm so confused about what's healthy and what's not. I feel like everything I was taught as a kid is all wrong. Are dairy products Ok? What about potatoes? Eggs? Where can I go to learn this stuff?
Thanks again,
Shannon

Dairy is generally high in fat and eggs are high in colestoral....

Potatoes are high in carbs and ham is generally a fatty meat..... you can buy lean cuts of ham as well as beef... but we all know that ham isn't kosier... ;)

Maybe I will write an artical and include it in the arena when I have time...

Iits all about choices and moderation....

Ivy
