Off the Zoolander topic here but related. I wondered if you all had heard about the Kangaroo Jack controversy? There was a big article in the LA Times about it and I thought of IG in particular whe I read it because of past comments you made about movies like Zoolander.

Apparently the film is not what it appears. It started out as a crime spree type picture not intended for kids at all but they couldn't sell the idea so it was redeveloped and remarketed. The kangaroo is just a selling point and not the main part of the film at all. Parents who have seen it have been outrged because it is anything but a children's film and is more in the vain of typical sleazy jokes, sophomoric category. It is said that the advertizing (aimed toward kids with that cute kangaroo) misrepresents the film's true content and the PG rating is very inappropriate. Just a warning to anyone with young kids concerned about what they see.

As for DD, I think it would be great to see him in a comedy but soemthing more along the lines of a smartly scripted film by someone like Albert Brooks, not these childish things he seems to go for. But I really am aching to see him in a heavy dramatic piece. I hope My Dark Places dosn't take as long to make as reports have indicated.
I think what he should do is take a supporting role in a drama. Let's face it, he's not an A list movie star. But a good supporting role in a big drama or even a small independent film could be good for him.
