Subject: "Full Frontal" (Spoilers!)

Okay, the first thing I have to say is: If you're watching this movie *strictly* to see DD, don't bother. He's barely in it. I do *NOT* understand why he was billed as the "male lead" when he's really only in one scene. Well, while he's alive. We get to see him dead later on. (Hey, I warned you there were spoilers in this!)
The way he dies is an obvious "in joke" that we X-Philes will get (think "Clyde Bruckerman").
DD (or lack thereof) aside the movie is. . .okay. Kind of confusing, as it's one of those "movie within a movie" things. While it's certainly better than "Zoolander", and while this one is rated appropriately, it's not really one of the better movies I've seen in the past couple of years. The theme, so far as I could discern one, seems to be something along the lines of "It's better to put your time and energy into improving the marriage or relationship you already have, rather than looking for a newer, more exciting lover", which is a pretty good (and fairly unusual, by Hollywood standards) theme. However, most of the characters are so banal that I have a hard time really *caring* whether or not any of their relationships work out.
A couple of notes especially to Detoured: 1.) you were worried about something bad happening to the dog. He gets sick from eating marijuana-laced-brownies, but the vet makes a house call and the dog lives. 2.) Maybe you would "get" this movie more, since it's set in Los Angeles and a one of the subplots seems to be what a pain it is for people in L.A. with normal jobs to constantly have their schedules disrupted by movie crews, etc.
