My company is going through a lot of admin changes right now. We just got bought out by this public investment company that trades on wallstreet, thus taking away all employee stock, and suddenly our production requirements have gone up while our overtime has gotten cut. Everyone is a little disgruntled.

Plus, the job is very much a solitary one. And I'm a very social type person. And the investigators don't have any pull in the organization, even though we are the most important part. We are the ones who DO what our company does.

The work environment isn't at all what it used to be. I don't know one investigator who isn't looking around for another job, but given the current job market, we're pretty much stuck.
