I am not a big fan of movie stars. It seems to me that sometimes the movie stars that make the most money and have the most publicity also make the worst movies. They have less talent than many other actors, and it seems that they are there for a paycheck. At least they are in my mind since I can't imagine why some people would do some movies.

There are, of course, exceptions. Tom Hanks and Harrison Ford make movies that consistently make lots and lots of money, and they are both excellent actors, IMO. Speaking of Harrison Ford, is it true that he's making another Indiana Jones movie? God bless Harrison. Generally, though, I'm a bigger fan of the Christina Ricci's of the world who could be big stars but instead choose stories that aren't as flashy and big and focus more on the acting. Although, I have to say I'm a bit confused that she's doing Ally McBeal. Christina, what are you thinking?

Anyway, this is about DD, right? I think that time will tell if DD is an actor or a movie star. I mean, we all know that he is a good actor from TXF, but he's only done a few movies recently. Evolution was not good, IMO. But I hate those kinds of movies. That was a movie star movie. Return to Me was wonderful and seemed to be an actor's movie. I think that even though he chose his roles before TXF, he didn't have much leverage in choosing scripts, so of course he did some bombs. The only thing that kept me from turning Playing God off was the fact that it starred two very beautiful people (I'm so shallow).
