Subject: DD mentioned in movie review

I got this off the AP Entertainment Wire. It's nice to see a professional movie reviewer acknowledging that DD is good in romantic comedies. I cut out part of it, where the stars are, which was basically just plot description, so we could get to the part where DD is mentioned.

'Alex & Emma' is more fizzle than fun

The less said about Rob Reiner’s ‘‘Alex & Emma’’ the better. This seriously dull romantic comedy — an anti-romantic comedy, to be more accurate — is something of a chore to sit through, with its biggest laugh coming even before its story kicks in.
Warner Bros. precedes the film with a harsh disclaimer — white letters against a black backdrop — warning all would-be movie pirates in the audience that there will be serious consequences if anyone attempts to surreptitiously videotape the film while it’s in progress. Be forewarned. You could do jail time if you attempt to steal one precious frame from this movie. Actually, in this case, psychotherapy might be a more suitable rehabilitation.
I mean, who in their right mind would want to steal this movie?
Poorly paced, ‘‘Alex & Emma’’ stars the lackluster Luke Wilson, devoid of personality as usual, as a Boston-based novelist named Alex Sheldon who is in debt to some loan sharks for $100,000. He can pay them only after he’s delivered his latest book to his publisher (played by Reiner himself). Problem is, he hasn’t written anything yet, and his deadline is only 30 days away.
With time speeding by, Alex hires a stenographer to transcribe everything he dictates. Her name is Emma Dinsmore (Kate Hudson, made to look as plain as possible). Emma is most competent, but she’s no help at all. Rather, she’s a hindrance, constantly questioning and criticizing every one of Alex’s plot points.
***
Although Alex and Emma fall in love along the way — no surprise here — their relationship never really comes to life. That’s because the characters are two stick figures. Wilson is an affable but hopeless actor, and one can only imagine what someone with some spark — say, Edward Burns or David Duchovny — might have done with the role.
