It was basically the obit for DD's dad. It said he was survived by his second wife (listed her name, but I forgot what it was), three children (listed their names) and two grandchildren (didn't list their names, but we know who they are, don't we?). To me it seems a little bit odd that DD is the only one of his father's three children to have kids of his own.
I think it's kind of cool that his Dad had a first novel published in his 70s. Gives hope to the rest of us would be writers that maybe we're just late bloomers!
