Welcome to Scribbler's Corner. I hope you will have fun here, reading, writing and chatting. Just a few ground rules for y'all.

1. Give

Give a little of yourself by posting up a sample of your work. It doesn't matter if it's not Tolstoy - everything here is a 'work in progress' and we all have to start somewhere. Start a new thread for each new story.

Please don't make the posts too long though - I'm not sure what the limit on message size is as I'm new here myself, but I'll bet there is one. Even if there wasn't, it's hard for people to read and comment on an entire novel at a time - a paragraph is plenty to post if you're looking for feedback on language, style etc. If you have an almost-complete novella and you really want people to critique it, post it in little chunks or post up a link to the whole thing.

2. Take

Take the time to read other people's work and comment on it, don't just post your own work and expect other people to take an interest, if you don't plan to return the favour.

3. Be excellent to each other.

Try to make all of your criticism as constructive as possible; instead of "that's a right load of old rubbish", offer the budding author some suggestions as to how they could have written something better.

Ok that's enough rules right there. If you have any suggestions or questions about the forum, please contact me or post in this thread.

Regards

Zora

P.S. as this forum does not have any spell-check facilities, if you are concerned about spelling and typos, I suggest you type your posts up in a word processing app and copy/paste them into a message. You will get the opportunity to review your messages once, before they are posted, but after that they cannot be edited.
