Subject: Defend the Temple!

According to the Big Bang Scientific Fact, ten to twenty billion years ago, the Universe began with an explosion -the Big Bang- creating a huge area of matter known as the "Primordial Fireball". Eventually, this area expanded and became other matter, chiefly Hydrogen, and eventually broke up into clumps. The larger clumpse became galaxies, while smaller clumpse became stars. The smallest clumpse became planets and various other natural space debris. (Although later on planets and stars where formed with other methods)

From that point, the Universe began to slowly expand. Scientists believed that once the Universe reached its maximum size, it would collapse with an explosion and return to a sphere approximately 4x5 feet around. In truth, however, our Universe reached its maximum size thousands of years ago. This fact was recognized by beings from the Empire of Atlantis and a temple with a sacred power was constructed to hold up the Universe and keep it from collapsing.

That temple was named the Atlus temple, after the God who held up the sky.

Fast forward to January 1, 2010. The entire continent of Atlantis has resurfaced, revealing the entire civilization and their technology. Records of the findings where made mass knowledge, but like most things out of the ordinary, most didn't believe it didn't care.

New technology has been implemented and combined with our own to set up guards around the temple by the American government. However, other countries have not been persuaded to take up the guardianship, and the people are even more difficult to persuade.

However, across the dimentional void, an alien race has found the secret to the ultimate power in the universe. The 4x5 sphere that will be the universe after it collapses. So now, the aliens known simply as the The Enemy have crossed the dimentional plane in search of the means to destroy our Universe and collect the power it holds, which will keep our Universe from ever becoming whole again...

"Captain! We're closing in on the target!" Alexi yelled across the com.
"I see it..." Claire Aniouh said without hesitation. A smile crossed her face as the group of Mechs' closed in on The Enemy's base.

"Lyn, you really shouldn't sleep on the job, the general might get angry with you again, and you know how that goes..." Lance said, shaking his head as he stood over the younger Technician.

"Captain! Enemies sighted at 6 o'clock!"
"What? Behind us? How the hell?" Claire shouted, jerking the controls to pivot on her mechs foot and reverse her position. It seemed too late, a volley of missiles impacted the side of her 'mech.
"Lookout! Enemies sighted at 12 o'clock as well!" a younger pilot shouted.
"Not good...they've managed to surround us. What am I gonna do?"

"LYN! I said quit sleeping you bum!"

"They're closing in!"

"Are you even listening to me? LYN!"

"Open fire!"

"Why do you do this to me?"

"Captain!!!!"

"Don't blame me when you get caught..."

"Shit! All units, retreat!"

"I guess it's just your nature..."

"We're not gonna make it!"

"Ah, Lyn, there you are..."

"Double time it, boys! Rico, Angelo, Mark, and myself will give the rest of the group cover fire. Everyone else, MOVE!"

"Uh-oh..."

"Aerial enemies sighted to the west! They're closing fast!"

"Huh? O-Oh! General Agape! What can I do for you?"

"More of them? Damn, everyone switch directions! There's only one way out now!"

"Your just the man I was looking for. When your sister gets back, I want you to give her a message for me."

"You don't mean..."

"A message, sir?"

"Thats right, Death Canyon. MOVE IT!"

"What did I just say? Anyway, tell her that we're sorry about the coordinates. Apparently the right base was at 190x345 degrees."

"Isn't Death Canyon impossible to escape?"

"Isn't that kind of dangerous, sir?"

"Of course, but it's better than staying here, now MOVE IT!"

"Of course it is! That's why I'm sending the entire squad a Purple Heart Swquad Badge. However, I'm sure your sister can pull through."

"Captain! Yossarium and Job just went down! There's nobody left..."

"Don't associate us like that..."

"Nothing we can do, just keep moving forward!"

'Don't ever associate us like that...'

"Claire...I don't think we're going to make it..." Vince said as his mech raced through the canyon alongside Claire and First Lieutenant John Keeline's.
"Maybe not, but we've got to try..." John said, taking aim with a guided missile and annihilating a large enemy structure as the three raced by in a sort of abreast formation through the slender canyon.
"There's barely enough room for the three of us, we're in deep trouble if they send large amounts of forces to greet us..." Claire said, shaking her head.
"We're in trouble as it sta-" Vince's words where cut off as his mech exploded in a flash.
"Oh no, Vince!" Johnny said, slowing to a stop.
"There's no time! We have to move!" Claire shouted, as if angered by John's compassion. Yet, inside, she felt the same. Vincent had been a good friend to her and John since she joined the Temple Defense Forces.
She shook her head. "Stay if you want, but the message needs to be relayed to the base about the enemy's position," Claire said, turning to move out again.
"You right, there's nothing I can do..." John said, turning to move again.
Within seconds the two 'mechs where at a sprint again.
