Thanks, and I guess you're right. Recently I've been working on things that could make it a bit more unique, and I've come across a few things that may satisfy me at least. I'll take a look at that page.

I like the whole varying races in one world sort of thing, but I try to make it more unique than others. Most authors I've ever read use only their preferred or the most common fantasy creatures. I try to use every single myth or legend in my story, or at the very least the background of the land my story takes place in.

Believe me, whenever I discover a fantasy creature that is new to me, I find a way to give a background or historical importance in the general background of the story. Maybe not the exact story, but I am also working on various short stories about the world (Aia) that my major project takes place in. I've also made up a few of my own.
