Subject: Nail Type?

How do you determine what kind of nails you have?
I have recently removed silks from my nails, but they feel pretty good. Not "Naked" and sore like they have felt before. They will bend, but have a tendency to break on the sides when they do. My cuticles are in pretty good shape too.
My goals are to grow some length and get nail polish to stay for a week. The thing I miss most without the silks is that my polish chips easily. Usually in just a day or two.
I want to place an order, but can't decide just what to buy.

Thanks for your help.
