Subject: Cuticles - to clip or not????

I am a newbie nail tech and I am a bit nervous of cuticle nipping. Should you nip at all? I am using a buffy block to remove most of the cuticle and cut only "flying skin" but I don't want to appear that I am neglecting the clients cuticle, I am just not big on trimming. I feel it is not good for the nail as the cuticle is the protecting barrier to the nail & most importantly I would feel awful if I accidently cut someone.Do you trim with nippers? Help!!
