Subject: getting into air realm?!?

i've got the walk through for azurik and i'm in the part of the earth realm with the spotlights you have to point at the globes, but i just cant get through the blue doors to the lift that should take me to the air realm! i dont know if i need to hit the crystal or something. i dont know the combinations to do that anyway.
how do i get past the blue doors and into the air realm?!!
please help.....

first activate the 4 small crystals in the earth realm and then go to the big crystals and use the following element.......smash,lightning,lava,whirlwind,lightning,smash,lava.

How do you get into the air realm? some1 says with crystals or with a big tree or after killing the water guardian...
But i dont understand anything of it.. what big tree and where is that water guardian?
Plz mail me with the right way to get in there.
