I posted this somewhere else, but thought I'd also put it here:
I'm sorry to hear about what has happened to you.

I hope this will show people who think Anorexia is a "diet" that it's not. It's not a quick fix. If anyone out there thinks that they can lose weight by not eating, but doesn't have an eating disorder probably won't last long. If they do they'll find out that it's no longer a choice. I've had an ED all my life. It consumes me. My every thought is about food. What I've eaten, what I haven't what I get to eat later today, waht I CANT eat. My body. My weight. My size. And so on.

But I don't want to think about anything else in my life, so I concentrate on that. That's usually why people develop an ed (although it does vary from person to person). I've noticed a lot of ana's have other things in their life they don't want to deal with so they deal with food and weight.

This is not glamerous. If anyone out there wants to lose weight but doesn't have an eating disorder (ed), they can do so by exercising up to an hour a day and eating properly (that means starting from 1200 calories and up). There are very good weight loss programs (weight watchers being one) that can help, they even help teens (with parent's approval). There are also some very good web sites with very good information on being "healthy." Anorexia is not healthy.

There are some good tips for people who want to lose weight here, such as eat less, drink water, exercise, take vitamins, eat fruit and veggies. But that's about all they should follow.

If you look around you and really see people, you'll notice we're all different shapes and sizes. No one's perfect. However, for me, I want to get as close to perfect as I can. I want to be one of the thin or skinny ones. Obviously I have an ed.

I hope everyone takes care of themselves no matter what their cirucmstances.
