Subject: Why does transition freeze?

I am starting to get the hang of this. However, sometimes on Premiere 6, I am seeing the second part of a transition freeze. If I reboot P6 (or even the entire system), it sometimes works.

Is there a setting to alter for this, or is this just a bug that we have to deal with? Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Does anyone have an idea as to what to do?
