I've tried what I think is the HSS only a few times. I based my grip and swing on Peter's brief comments earlier in this thread, except I started with the IMA grip and then rotated it to the 3 o'clock position.

On the positive side, I really like the simplicity of the HSS and to me it seems even more hammer-like than the other SA swings (but that may very well be because I'm not doing the others correctly).

On the negative side, I got a lot of pain in my left wrist just after impact and because of that I haven't tried it much. Just now, I put the club more in my left palm, on the lifeline, and took a couple of practice swings (indoors) and alas... no pain. So, I'll have to give that grip a try tomorrow.

How do you grip the club (left and right hands)? Also, any other information you feel like sharing would also be greatly appreciated.
