I've asked the question on the NG board about if the G3 specs match the NG patent which specifies a specific CG position. No answer yet.

In the picture the inserts, which I assume to be copper/tungsten (high density) appear to be low in the club in all cases. This is the pattern for low CG clubs.

I interperted their comments to mean not a high CG but less lateral dispersion of the mass. Note that the insert is pretty much centered laterally in the club face.

Interesting that their only comment about the short irons was relative to loft.
