I'm continuing the discussion here because we were too deep in the previous thread.

I think NG would be well served by focusing at least part of its efforts on the new golfer market. IMHO this would require a lower price point for equipment and lessons and a grass roots effort like the one I described by a local pro here teaching group lessons at night in the local high school at 7 lessons for $40.

By catching new golfers you have a chance to build on a base with no bad habits.

If you combine that effor with upgraded education (at a higher price) ala the Compusport model I discussed in another note, NG would be positioning itself as really the state of the art in golf.
