Subject: Re: IMA same basic swing as NG

The two swings are as close to the same as two swings can be. I take lessons from a NG CI and have the IMA tapes, Moe tapes, and NG tapes. What I learn from my CI is the same basic things that I see in the IMA tapes. Of course IMA wants you to believe that they are somehow different. NG does NOT say that you MUST have a short swing. I have also been turned off by the badmouthing of NG by IMA. That is why I take lessons from NG. Also they cover most of the country with instructors. Some of course are better than others. If your instructor doesn't let you release the club then run as fast as you can in the other direction. Some of the older instructors who learned to teach the swing in beginning of NG, taught no release, but that isn't the case for the last two to three years. The NG program has changed over the years, just as Scott and Jack are now teaching differently then they did five years ago. Badmouthing only makes the one doing the badmouthing look bad. Just my ideas!!

Pete
