O.K., Serp. Next time I'll ask you for a debate when I want one.
I agree with half of what you're saying.
George W. scares the hell out of me. I'm not sure I can believe the war was started as you say. But when the oppurtunity presented itself, he did sieze it; creating an absurd and nebulous mission in the process.
So, what is a terrorist? A group of guerilla fighters, representing a minority opinion, trying to militarily overthrow the established (usually claimed to be legitimate by virtue of the fact it is established) rule? By this definition, the American Revolution was a terrorist act!
I'm not denying the existence of true terrorists. I'm just worried about our lack of criteria.
Similarly, we are in the midst of all the rape of the constitution. We are promised that these abonimations will only be aplied to terrorists. And so we are therefore presuming the suspects guilty before the trial.
