Subject: Perfection in Bible

It shows all great people have flaws. Hell even Jesus picked Judas as a disciple.

No matter how Paul white washed it later, life is full of dirty things and our attempts to overcome them to get to a place that is holy.

Now if we could only agree on what is holy.

Adam and Eve could not follow one rule. Curiosity or a desire to grow up led to their choices.

Noah got drunk.

Lot slept with his daughter (after getting drunk).

Judah slept with prostitutes.

Moses stuttered, and even disobeyed God.

This is just a partial list. I don't even want to talk about Jewish kings.

My point is the Bible should be seen as a book for this world. Written for real experiences of real people. When there are chioces to be made, some are always going to lead to different outcomes than others. These different outcomes will help or hurt in their own ways.

To set perfection as an ideal is as obscene as telling a mother which genetic information is good, or scientists saying which racial traits are better than others. We need to learn to accept differences, as well as imperfections in people.
