I haven't been able to be online because our phone line was down, and I have a dial-up connection. My heart sank when I saw the thread title by Magi.

Magi probably won't be able to read what is posted, so please just join with me in praying that all is well with Magi.

I don't know this person, don't write here much,
but I am touched with the words they wrote.
I know how much this fellowship can and should
mean to seekers of Truth .... especially, if one is
home bound, etc. It is a connection with the
Spirit thru His Own out there that we can't see
or touch, nevertheless, we can see and touch.
Let us believe together for Magi to again have
this treasure somehow.......Our God works in
the strangest ways sometimes to meet our NEEDS.
I saw an ad on t. v. for a new Dell and it was $599
that is not too much.......to make some monthly
payments, I know I have to, LORD SEE THIS
HEART!!!!!! Amen.

Starman, I be poor right now but will gladly pitch in 20.00 (paypal is my choice) and start bothering my family members for pennies.

Over at TB2000 we were able to buy a very expensive puter for a member this way. Of course we had over 1000 members! Only took a few weeks.

Lets do this now so it will be finished in three weeks!

Who's in charge? And don't say Bill! :-)

BTW, who is in contact with the victim? Are we wasting our breath?

Which brings up something that bothers me a bit. Many people will not even let the board owner know who and what they are (for security reasons). If you be that way then at least find one person on that board that you trust and give then your info! I can not count the number of members that my favorite Religious forum has lost because they refused to release any info at all.

I was "copy boy" at the now defunked Y2KNews/Disscuss forum as it was shutting down. I copied every post and still have not found 13 well respected posters. Thats two years of trying people! Get your email buddies now or pay later!

I don't have anything but the friend's email address. I'm thinking paypal might be the way to go. I wouldn't feel right about giving someone's address out without pemission. With permission I could email it, but I don't think it would be wise to post it.

I feel for Magi.

I know how "big a part of you" participation in a given board can be...

I am posting from work and me too also "gave up InterNet at Home" for an unspecified period of time.

In my case, this is a good case -- cuz I did a lot of ARGUING -

(in fact this is one of the few boards where i never did argue full blast with people)

- so it was

part "Technology Fast"

part "addiction-breaking"

part budget tightening at home

part 'spend more time with my son in scout stuff'

and part just plain "New Direction" for me...

ah gave up internet & cable TV at home, no email either
