Besides, a lot of people didn't even notice the propaganda until I pointed them out. It's quite obvious to somebody who is actually looking for it, though. Especially in a movie like that. I mean, with our iron egos, with movies like that, they try too hard to make war sexy and fun. Which it's quite the opposite. That's my biggest complaint. But that's left in the eighties. Now they're insulting our intelligence with movies like Triple X. Rambo didn't have a meaning. Just a shoot 'em up, kill 'em all, type of movie.

Entertainment.

Macho bullshit entertainment, but entertainment none-the-less.

Now they have movies with a coca-cola marketed "message." Instead of any real message. Their message being; you should love your country, and fight for it no matter what. When obvious business scams, stupid presidents, and a Democracy that no longer works is what we would be fighting for. Not against any fake terrorist groups.

I mean, a black man comes back from war, who was out defending and fighting for his country, then gets beaten or shot by a racist policeman? And drugs are the main problem? Gas guzzling cars, censorship, propaganda in movies, and funds for education dropping 18% are a problem. Fighting this government would be a real fight for this country in my opinion. Not being away from it, because your dumb-ass president said you had to go "fight for freedom."

Anyways, Lona, your post is good. I like the "soapbox." :)
