Just write a bunch of nonsense until you can come up with something, or make due with whatever you have got that is just coming out of the top of your head. Share it with friends, let people praise it, then, get the self confidence to keep on until something really good comes out.

I suppose. That's what I do when I get writer's block.

I think the main disease of writer's block is the fact (a very human fact) that artists are always trying to out do themselves. Constantly wanting to do better then what they've done before, or at least match it.

And of course they do!

But sometimes they can't, and in order to keep the process going (and NOT giving up) is to settle for junk until something really good appears. It always happens with me.

As for the regulars becoming lurkers, or whatever.

I resent that.

I can't come here without making some sort of comment.
