Just wanted to add a couple of things. When Putin said "that was a mistake" he was talking about the US withdrawal from the missile treaty and he felt that way because if the US is going to go ahead and build a more advanced military system of any sort then countries like Russia and China will have to keep up just so in case push comes to shove they can have an equal say in things. We all value equality, right? Putin thinks another arms race is the wrong direction for the leadership nations to take. I think that is plenty reasonable. Patrick can you also tell me what you mean by "After all, the US won't put Russia back into the "evil" states category for a while! Although the military would certainly love that!" Do you mean the military would love for Russia to be in the "evil" states category? Thanks.
